Lacombe Golf and Country Club is a traditional layout with many old trees lining the fairways. Rolling terrain and a sprinkling of well placed bunkers continue to challenge golfers of all abilities. The greens are quick and undulating and have been rated as some of the best in Alberta.

Hole 1

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 5 9 477 458 –
ladies_dark 5 3 – – 452

Tip: A short downhill par five with lots of room for your first two shots. Approach shots are made to a large green with a swail in the middle. A good starting hole!

Hole 2

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 5 370 355 –
ladies_dark 4 5 – – 263

Tip: A straightaway par four. Avoid the tree in the fairway on your tee shot and you will have a short or middle iron to the green. This green slopes from back to front and can be difficult to putt when the pin is at the front.

Tip: Known locally as the “shortest par five in Central Alberta”, this short par three offers a small green which rolls sharply from left to right. If you miss this green, miss it short!

Hole 4

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 11 331 312 –
ladies_dark 4 11 – – 266

Tip: Plan you to place your tee shot between the 100 and 150 yard markers. There is no room to the left, and a hidden pond in front of the green will capture long tee shots and short approach shots. This rolling green is wide, but not deep. Long approach shots will lead to high scores.

Hole 5

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 5 1 506 474 –
ladies_dark 5 5 – – 402

Tip: This medium length par 5 offers a generous landing area for most tee shots. The fairways narrows quickly and the long fairway bunker and a hidden pond 120 yards from the green provide for a challenging second shot. The green is large, flat and receptive to approach shots.

Tip: Our signature hole. A scenic par three, with most of the carry over water. A generous, flat green receives tee shots very well and is also very puttable.

Tip: A longer par three to a narrow green which is well bunkered on both sides. Your best “miss” here is short of the green!

Hole 8

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 7 362 346 –
ladies_dark 4 7 – – 337

Tip: This dogleg par four places a premium on tee shot accuracy. A large pond forces a layup, leaving 120 to 150 yards as an approach to the green. The green is well protected by bunkers and putting will be a challenge.

Hole 9

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 5 3 509 487 –
ladies_dark 5 1 – – 439

Tip: A long, uphill, straightaway par five to one of the toughest greens on the golf course. Try to keep approach shots and chips short of the hole. This green has two tiers, slopes from back to front and offers some nasty downhill putts!

Hole 10

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 4 429 398 –
ladies_dark 4 8 – – 318

Tip: This is a medium length par four which offers a wide fairway for tee shots. The fairway narrows as it approaches the green. Take care with approach shots as this green slopes from front to back and breaks sharply left to right. Chip shots and putting will be a challenge here!

Hole 11

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 8 426 396 –
ladies_dark 4 12 – – 287

Tip: This par four is a little longer and requires a carry to reach the fairway. A ridge in the fairway prevents a full line of sight to the long, narrow green. Favour the right side on your approach shots.

Hole 12

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 5 14 494 470 –
ladies_dark 5 2 – – 446

Tip: This par five is a sharp dogleg left. Large trees and bunker trouble await the longer hitters if they are not precise. An accurate tee shot and second shot will allow most players a good position to approach the green. This green is receptive to approach shots, fairly flat and simple to putt.

Hole 13

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 16 368 352 –
ladies_dark 4 4 – – 336

Tip: A shorter par four with a fairway that rolls sharply downhill and then rises on a steep grade to an elevated green. The green has a small double tier and can be very slick when putting from back to front.

Hole 14

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 2 444 403 –
ladies_dark 4 6 – – 360

Tip: This hole is the longest and toughest par four. Focus on the generous landing area in the fairway. Approach shots are downhill to a large rolling green that falls away to a large bunker on the right. The safest shots are made to the left side of the green, which is tough to putt. Do not be long!

Tip: With a variety of tees, this par three can be long or medium in length. There is a generous opening at the front of this large two tiered green. Tee shots that are left, right or long will raise your score! Again, this green is receptive but putting is a challenge.

Tip: This is another long par three to a large, receptive green. The pot bunker at the front of the green is not friendly, but putting on this flat surface is much simpler. There is room to miss this green, but the green is a big target depending on your choice of tee.

Hole 17

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 18 320 308 –
ladies_dark 4 10 – – 300

Tip: This short, straight par four is easy to navigate. The danger here is that tee shots hit to the left or right are probably not going to be found. Big hitters will face this test if they try for the green on the tee shot. The green is not large, but it is flat and simple to putt.

Hole 18

PAR HCP
Blue
White
Yellow
mens_dark 4 6 400 353 –
ladies_dark 4 14 – – 265

Tip: Tee shot accuracy is necessary from every tee on this demanding finishing hole. If you are not playing from the fairway, you will probably be chipping out from the trees. This green is large and receptive to approach shots, but is very difficult to putt, especially when the pin is at the front.
